< 3.1절 100주년을 기념하며~>

 

1919년 3월 1일~

서울의 탑골공원을 시작으로 전국에 들불처럼 타오른 독립만세운동은 전 세계를 깜짝 놀라게 하고 약소국들 에게는 민족적 자각을 일깨워준 최초의 비폭력저항운동이었다

 

(단 한번의 충돌이나 사고도 없이 명예혁명을 달성해 전 세계가 경이로운 눈으로 주목한 광화문 촛불시민혁명도 이러한 3.1만세운동의 비폭력 저항정신으로부터 비롯된 것이리라!)

 

그로부터 100년 후,

그때 그 자리에선~

 

선열들의 숭고한 희생을 기리고 아직도 뿌리뽑지 못한 일제 잔재의 청산을 외쳤다.

 

이제 새로운 백년은 부디 통일된 한민족의 평화롭고 부강한 나라로 거듭 나, 우리 후손에게 자랑스럽게 물려줄 수 있기를 기원해 본다

March 1, 1919 (Independence Day of Korea)~

 

Beginning with the Topgol Park in Seoul, the Independence Movement from across the country rose like a wildfire. This Independence Movement surprised the whole world and made the weaker countries aware of their national consciousness. This movement was the world's first nonviolent resistance movement.

 

One hundred years later, on March 1, 2019,

at the same time and the same place~

 

To pay a tritute to the noble sacrifices of the patriotic forefathers,

we shouted the clearing of the remnants of the Japanese imperialism still being not uprooted.

 

We wish the new century will greet the peaceful and proud nation of the unified Korean people~
